Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of our assets to detect potential security vulnerabilities.
- Proactively identify security threats and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Provide expert advice on the implementation of security protocols, policies, and plans that address all identified threats.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in security systems, tools, trends, and technology, and recommend updates or enhancements as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver clear and concise communication regarding complex security matters to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor\'s degree in law enforcement, criminal science, computer science, security, or a related field is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security management, cybersecurity, or a similar role.
- Proficient in designing and implementing security architectures that align with business needs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into accessible language for a diverse audience.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Desired Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols and policies.
- Experience with risk assessment tools, security incident handling, and security infrastructure.
- Ability to work flexibly, accommodating team members across different time zones, especially in the US and India.
- A proactive approach to staying updated on the latest security practices and technologies.
Tools and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with security software and hardware tools necessary for comprehensive threat analysis.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, encryption technologies, and secure communication methods.
- Understanding of compliance regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001/27002, or similar.
Additional Information:
This position is for a 3-month engagement with the possibility of extension. The consultant will be required to engage with Rubrik Engineering team members in both the US and India, necessitating flexibility in scheduling. An initial induction period of 8 hours for the first two weeks will be followed by ongoing interactions averaging 3 hours per week to address questions and provide guidance.
