About the Role



As a Security Partner in Security Domain, you'll play a key role in making ANZ a safe and more secure place by ensuring our corporate and customer information is secured. The Security Domain has group-wide accountability for providing functional and thought leadership for information security and provides advice, guidance and the right tools to enable everyone in ANZ to protect our information. We're looking for a talented Security Partner (Security Architect) to collaborate with the business and technology to ensure that security is prioritised and understood

What will your day look like?



Brings a broad understanding across various technology and business domains (cloud, infrastructure, application security, risk, etc.), with deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture and threat modeling.



Regularly engages with internal stakeholders, product teams, and compliance partners to ensure security solutions align with business goals and deliver real value without hindering innovation.



Clearly articulates the security vision and rationale behind architectural decisions by connecting business needs, emerging threats, and long-term risk mitigation in a compelling and understandable way.



Embodies ANZ's purpose and values while upholding the highest standards of integrity, security, and ethical behaviour, inspiring others to do the same.



Courageously navigates competing priorities between security, delivery, and user experience, mediating conflicts and driving consensus without compromising critical security controls.



Acts as a connector, enabling squads and stakeholders to access the right cybersecurity expertise, tools, and frameworks to support secure design and delivery.

What will you bring?

Experience:

Must have 8+years relevant experience

Security Architecture:

Evaluate, review, and design secure solutions for ANZ. Your architectural insight will be vital in building well-architected and robust security solutions.

Trusted Advisor:

Establish yourself as a key Cyber security advisor to senior stakeholders, including Tech Area Leads and Tribe Leads, as well as various tribe members. Your influence will drive security priorities and initiatives across the organization.

Threat Modelling:

Apply threat modelling methodologies and understand common tactics, techniques, and procedures in agile environments. Your expertise will help anticipate and mitigate potential exposure and threats to effectively manage Risk.

Technology Mastery:

Develop a deep understanding of the diverse technology stacks employed across the bank. Your willingness to learn and adapt will enable you to effectively address security concerns across various platforms.

Technical Articulation:

Translate complex technical designs into actionable Security Control requirements. Your ability to make intricate security concepts understandable and implementable will be crucial.

Cyber Security:

Demonstrate deep understanding of Cyber security principles like Cryptography, Secrets and Key management, IAM, Network Security, Data protection, PKI and Certificate management.

Cloud Security:

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Hybrid clouds. Familiarity with cloud-native security services to effectively design and implement secure cloud solutions.



Detailed Description



Infrastructure and Application security- Expertise in securing both traditional infrastructure and modern cloud-native environments with a strong focus on Virtualisation, App and API Security, containerisation, Secure DevOps and CI/CD deployments.

Reusable Security Patterns:

Develop and maintain reusable security architecture and design patterns for consumption across the organization. Your contributions will standardize and streamline security practices.

Regulatory Compliance:

Familiarize with and implement requirements from relevant regulators such as APRA, HKMA, MAS, etc. Your knowledge of regulatory standards will ensure ANZ's compliance and enhance our security framework.

Contract Review:

Review vendor contracts to ensure relevant security clauses are embedded, protecting ANZ's interests and maintaining compliance with security standards.

Industry trends and best practices:

Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies and recommend appropriate controls and design guardrails.

Accreditations / Credentials:

Maintain relevant certifications in Security, Architecture, Cloud or Technology disciplines (e.g. CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
