The Chamber of Commerce, a recognized non-profit organization by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is currently hiring for the position of Business Development Executive & Assistant Secretary. This role offers remote work opportunities across PAN India.

Responsibilities:

Job Title: Secretary
Location: Navi Mumbai : Belapur
Reports To: Executive Director/Chairman

CTC: Up to 3.5 Lacs

The Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This role involves handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks . The Secretary is well organized, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support:
• Maintain confidential records and files.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and electronic communications.
• Export Coordination:
• Coordinate export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Liaise with exporters, shipping companies, customs agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate export processes.
• Stay updated with export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to provide accurate information and assistance.
• Meeting Coordination:
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and other documents for meetings.
• Ensure follow-up actions from meetings are completed.
• Membership Services:
• Maintain and update membership records and databases.
• Handle membership inquiries and provide information about chamber services.
• Assist in the planning and execution of chamber events, programs, and activities.
• Communication:
• Liaise with internal staff, members, and external stakeholders.
• Draft and distribute newsletters, reports, and other communications.
• Update and maintain the chamber's website and social media accounts.
• Financial Support:
• Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing and processing payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with budget preparation.
• Event Support:
• Assist in the organization and coordination of chamber events, seminars, and workshops.
• Handle event registrations and coordinate logistics.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Discretion and confidentiality.
• Personal Attributes:
• Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant with knowledge in export procedures and documentation.
