The Opportunity

The System Test Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) team validates and delivers a hybrid Multi Cloud platform designed to run applications in private or multiple public clouds(AWS and Azure). NC2 operates as an extension of on-prem datacenters and provides a hybrid cloud architecture that spans private and public clouds, operated as a single cloud.

About the Team


At Nutanix, you would be joining the NC2 team, a close-knit group of 17 individuals who work collaboratively to achieve common goals. The team is spread across different locations but stays connected through regular communication and virtual meetings. The team culture at Nutanix is centered around teamwork, mutual support, and a shared passion for innovation and technology.


You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager at Nutanix. The work setup at Nutanix is hybrid, where employees are expected to be in the office for 2-3 days a week. This setup allows for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility, promoting productivity and work-life balance.


Travel requirements at Nutanix are currently not applicable, as the company prioritizes the health and safety of its employees. Nutanix values its employees' well-being and ensures that work can be efficiently carried out without the need for extensive travel.

Your Role



• Strong in automation using python.
• Developing test strategy for end-to-end qualification of any new features which runs on NC2.
• Simulating and testing large scale customer scenarios.
• Developing automated tests, necessary tools and libraries, for release qualification.
• Finding bugs. Helping RCA and tracking them to closure.

What You Will Bring

• BE/BTech/BCA/MCA/ME/MTech or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of software QA engineering experience
• Experience working with compute/storage/networking services of Azure and AWS
• Experience in Software Development or Test Automation in one of the following programming languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (Python preferred).
• Strong fundamentals of Operating Systems
• Strong fundamentals in Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithms, Data Structures, and Problem Solving
• Basic knowledge of TCP-IP Suite of protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS)
• Strong systems administration experience in Linux and/or Windows.
• Good understanding of file system concepts and protocols
• Prior system testing experience of large scale deployments would be a big plus.
• Experience with distributed software systems.
• Plus: Understanding of virtualization concepts - compute/storage/network virtualization
• Plus: Skills in debugging complex distributed applications.
• Plus: Hands-on experience working with web technologies - HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful API, JSON, Protobuf
