Your Title - SDET Engineer Job Location: Chennai Our Department: ViewPoint Job Summary: As an SDET Engineer at Trimble, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our software products. You will work closely with our development and quality assurance teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites. Your expertise in automation scripting will be instrumental in delivering software that meets our high standards. What You Will Do Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create test plans and strategies. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability. Perform manual testing when necessary and create test cases and test data. Identify and report software defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes. Perform code reviews to ensure testability and code quality within the team. Continuously research and implement industry best practices in test automation and quality assurance. Monitor and analyze test results, providing insights and recommendations for improving software quality. Collaborate with developers to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Participate in release planning and provide risk assessment based on test results and also support the release whenever its required. Mentor junior members of the testing team and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization. What Skills & Experience You Should Bring Relevant work experience of 3 to 6 years of in the related field. Proven experience as an SDET or similar role in software testing and automation. Proficiency in any of the programming languages such as C#(Preferred), or Java or Python. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium(Mandatory), Specflow, Coypu, Appium, XUnit, Xamarin etc. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and Saucelabs. Familiarity with version control systems like Git,TFS, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Test Management tools like JIRA and Confluence Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Kanban methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently under different timezones and take ownership of testing initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor\'s in Computer Science or any related Engineering degree.
