Job Description



SUMMARY The Scrum master will play a critical role in engaging team in following the processes that is agreed upon. He/She should be able to facilitate the scrum ceremonies, identify the impediments and direction to overcome them. Candidate should be good at negotiation to clear the gaps in the team. Candidate should able to understand agile process and able to extract metrics on team performance and able to present it to leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies (Daily Stand-up Meetings, Sprint Planning Meetings, Retrospectives and Reviews)
  • Coaches team members
  • Acts as a Servant Leader(Building trust, Listening skills, Empathy, Acting with humility and Encouraging others)
  • Helps the Product Owner with the Product Backlog
  • Protects the Team from outside interference.
  • Removes obstacles by facilitating and involving stakeholders.
  • Teaches and upholds Scrum practices and principles.
  • Formulating techniques for effective Product Backlog Management,
  • Helping the team understand the need for clear and concise product backlog items,
  • Imparting the understanding of product planning in an empirical environment,
  • Ensuring that the Product Owner has clarity on arranging the product backlog to yield maximized value.
  • Removing project impediments that stand in the way of team productivity and performance.
  • Creating transparency in processes and resolving conflicts
  • Helping the team to understand and follow the goals, scope of work and product domain.
  • Leading and guiding the organization in successful Scrum adoption, by streamlining processes and ensuring that every member on the team follows the Scrum framework.
  • Working with other Scrum master to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience agile process implementations.
  • Should have experience in working with multiple agile boards.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven experience in implementing agile core values and standards.
  • Experience in agile, lean agile and Kanban models.
  • Proven experience in complete Agile project life cycle.
  • Should be team player.
  • Expert in Facilitation & Organizing the ceremonies.
  • Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Should have Problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about industry process changes and implementation methods.
