What are the high level objectives/business impact/scope and responsibilities?This role includes the responsibility of handling instruments such as spectroscopy, Chromatography, thermal, and rheometer to interpret data, method development, and make scientific reports with proper conclusions.Play a key leadership role within the MSC team and train & mentor less experienced team members with your knowledge and experience.Understand the product design and application and connect the same with material science for proper interpretation.Interact /Interface with all sections of the Regional & Global Technical Teams and component experts, as well as the Manufacturing team.Need to work with the technical service/ process/quality functions to help in solving problems related to customer complaints etc.Key Accountabilities:Accountabilities are the descriptive statements that describe the main results that the role holder is expected to deliver. These are the enduring aspects of a role and do not change significantly from one year to the next.Provide technical solutions using material scienceUnderstand the existing product technically and link the same with material scienceWork with COP and Global subject matter experts to establish new methodsProduce technical reports on the Analytical requests.Technical recommendation and solution to the requester on the problemProblem-solving and root-cause analysisCross-functional team management/communication to close the Analytical requestBe a local SME for analytical-related quality issuesProvide technical support to a cross-functional team.Technical support to project teamWork with NPD teams in identifying new product opportunities and assessing the commercial feasibility of new Products.Coordinate with relevant functions in setting the project timeline to develop and introduce new products to the market.Cross-functionally manage new product development projects along with the NPD team and relevant functions and ensure that the new product Introduction to the market is on schedule.Analyze and identify performance gaps between the performance of existing product construction and how customers & end-users expect it to perform. Determine necessary actions to improve the performance of existing product construction to meet with customers & end-users\xe2\x80\x99 requirements.Lead problem-solving lab requests with appropriate technical methodsResolve technical problems, troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions to meet customer needs and requirements.Assess stakeholder needs in order to recommend appropriate methods and analytical tools. Investigate new methods or improvements to resolve the requirement products with customers.Gain a preliminary understanding of regulatory/compliance requirements related to product and market applications.Provide timely, detailed technical reports to resolve the complaints.Gather the feedback from customers & end-users on the existing product construction and improve its performance to meet with customers\' & end-users\xe2\x80\x99 requirements.QualificationsEDUCATION:M.Sc. or M.tech. or Ph. D. in polymer science or Material Characterisation of Polymer Sciences disciplines; Printing & Packaging or related fieldRequired 3-5 years of experience.Experience with material characterization, product development and product commercialization processes.Excellent problem solving analysis and analytical skillsExcellent written technical and verbal communication and presentation skills.Drive; document and execute strategies for business needs and timeframes.Customer focus with strong customer relationship-building experience.Independent and team player.Lead project teams and facilitate / encourage strong multi functional team work.ASPECTS HIGHLY PREFERRED:Knowledge in chromatography, rheometer and thermal instrumentsREQUIRED SKILLS:Fluent in both spoken and written English.Strong Technical report writing & Presentation skills.Minitab & Statistical knowledge.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong command of common computer software programs (i.e. MS Office; Minitab; Google Drive etc.).Key Competencies:Using Select for Success Tool.
