We at Amity Foundation for Science, Technology & Innovation Alliances (AFSTIA)/ Science & Technology (S&T) War Room, Amity University Uttar Pradesh are looking for experienced, competent, and committed individuals for the position of "Scientific Officer" for the Noida campus.


: The Scientific Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the research activities of the University by managing and coordinating various aspects of research administration. This position involves working closely with faculty, researchers, and administrative staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, streamline research processes, and facilitate the successful execution of research projects.


Roles & Responsibilities: -



i. Grant Management :


• Facilitate the preparation and submission of research grant proposals.


• Ensure compliance with funding agency guidelines and university policies.


• Assist researchers in budget development and financial planning for grants.


• Review, negotiate, and process research-related contracts and agreements.


• Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure adherence to ethical standards.


• Coordinate the initiation, implementation, and completion of research projects.


• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.



ii. Reporting and Documentation :


• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Higher management.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities.



iii. Training and Support :


• Facilitate in providing training and guidance to researchers on grant application procedures and research compliance.


• Offer support in navigating university systems related to research administration.



iv. Collaboration with various organizations & Agencies :


• Liaise with external R&D Organizations, funding agencies, and industry collaborators.


• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders such as faculty, department heads, and administrative staff.



v. Continuous Improvement :


• Identify opportunities for process improvement in research administration.


• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.




Qualification and Experience


• Master's degree in a relevant field (Ph.D/ M.Sc./ M.Tech in the field of Science and Technology).
• Minimum 0-1year previous experience in research administration or related field.


• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to research ethics and compliance.


• Strong organizational and project management skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in using relevant software and databases.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
