Role:
The School Support officer will be responsible for the following:
• Delivery of programme as planned by teachers in the allocated field area - mentoring and monitoring session delivery by school teachers
• Relationship building and management with teachers and heads of school in the allocated field area
• Capacity Building of School Management Committees in the allocated field area
• Identifying, capacity building and managing Community Coordinators in the villages in the allocated field area
• Collecting and Maintaining data on the overall field intervention as required
• Liasoning with district Government officials
Specific Responsibilities:
• Ensure effective implementation of the programme on the field
• Provide hand-holding and mentoring support to the school teachers in effective programme delivery to the children
• Coordinating and scheduling sessions in consultation with the school authorities and engage with school teachers and headmasters
• Ensuring smooth coordination and communication with regards to the holistic development component of the project with the school authorities
• Supervise and support Community Coordinators in delivery of the Community Connect Activities aimed at developing a supportive eco system (Parents, SMC Members, Community at large) for the adolescent in the community
• Conducting trainings of Community Coordinators and co-facilitate in teacher's training
• Supporting school authorities in strengthening the SMCs and enabling them to take a proactive part in school governance
• Keeping oneself updated on all the developments in safety rules, regulation child rights and protection and ensuring its integration in programs
• Facilitate/organize/participate in events, visits as required
• Collecting & documenting program outcomes in narrative form and report on quarterly basis

• Strong operational and team management skills that can be tailored to lead Magic Bus staff, on-ground partners, employers and local agencies.
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
• Sharp focus on outcomes and how to shape interventions to achieve the maximum impact with youth on the programme.
• Build positive relationships with youth and motivate individuals to achieve defined targets of taking up work or further education.
• Able to undertake need assessments with youth that sensitively identify youth's personal strengths and limitations.
• Can implement new processes and ways of working across an operational staff team.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to use own initiative to solve ground level problems
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally as required by programme.
Qualification and Experience (essential unless otherwise stated):
• Must be Graduate. B.Ed, M.ED and MSW preferred
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in working with Schools, Teaching, Teacher training or Education
• Good communications and facilitation skills are required
• Must have solid ground/ field job experience
• Fluent in the local language. Additionally local dialect knowledge will be appreciated
• Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working with teachers
Total years of Experience: 2 to 5 Years
Current/Last drawn CTC: 22,000/- to 25,000/- per month. Plus addition to TA
