About the Role:

Edify School, Chikkabanavara is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Lab Assistant

to support the efficient functioning of the school's science laboratories. The ideal candidate will assist science teachers during practical sessions, maintain lab equipment, and ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed. This role plays a crucial part in fostering hands-on learning experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in setting up experiments and demonstrations for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs. Prepare and organize materials, chemicals, and apparatus required for practical sessions. Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in all laboratory spaces. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and biological specimens. Regularly check and maintain the functionality of lab instruments and equipment. Maintain records of lab inventory and usage. Support students during practical classes while ensuring adherence to lab safety norms. Report any damages or safety concerns to the concerned authorities promptly. Assist with science exhibitions or other lab-related school events as needed.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (Physics, Chemistry, Biology preferred). Prior experience working as a

lab assistant in a school or educational institution

is an advantage. Basic knowledge of lab safety, chemical handling, and scientific equipment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A calm, cooperative attitude and willingness to work with students and faculty.
