Job Description

Dear Candidate,

We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and skilled School Counsellor to join our team . The ideal candidate will provide emotional, psychological, and academic support to students, helping them navigate various challenges and fostering their overall well-being. The School Counsellor will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive environment for students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Support and Counselling:
• Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students for a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, academic pressure, peer relationships, family dynamics, bullying, etc.
• Identify students in need of support and provide timely interventions.
• Maintain a confidential record of all counselling sessions, ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
• Crisis Management:
• Respond to urgent emotional crises, offering immediate support .
• Provide a safe space for students to express concerns and emotions.
• Promote Mental Health Awareness:
• Educate students on coping mechanisms, stress management, and healthy interpersonal relationships.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and the school administration to address students' mental health needs and academic progress.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Conduct assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of students.
• Maintain ongoing evaluations and follow-ups to measure the progress of interventions.
• Confidentiality and Ethics:
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality regarding student interactions, while balancing legal and professional obligations.
• Respect the privacy and dignity of students while providing care and guidance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related fields (M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling Psychology).
• Certification in Counselling or Therapy from a recognized institution is desirable.
