Position : SCCM Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Role Overview
The SCCM SME will guide the client in resolving and optimizing SCCM integrations, specifically with ServiceNow. The role requires expertise in assessing integration setups, ensuring effective data discovery, conducting rigorous testing, and implementing required changes to enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities
• SCCM and ServiceNow Integration :
• Assess and fix existing SCCM integration issues with ServiceNow.
• Ensure accurate discovery and reporting of desktop and laptop software inventory data through SCCM and ServiceNow integration.
• Assessment and Advisory :
• Conduct a detailed assessment of SCCM integration points with ServiceNow.
• Recommend and implement best practices to enhance integration efficiency and accuracy.
• Testing and Validation :
• Perform unit testing and end-to-end integration testing for SCCM to validate fixes and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies identified during testing.
• Configuration and Change Management :
• Assist in making necessary changes to the SCCM infrastructure to support seamless integration.
• Document changes, processes, and configurations for future reference and audits.
• Collaboration and Support :
• Work closely with the IT infrastructure and ServiceNow teams to align on integration requirements and timelines.
• Provide expert-level guidance and training as needed for internal teams on SCCM and integration processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Expertise :
• Extensive hands-on experience with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow integration with SCCM, including discovery mechanisms for software and hardware.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and SCCM query language.
• Testing and Troubleshooting :
• Proven experience in unit and integration testing for SCCM projects.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve integration and configuration issues.
• Soft Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with other ITSM tools similar to ServiceNow.
• Certifications in SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, or ITIL.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, M365, and other related enterprise systems.
