• Design and architect modern data Platforms, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain Data Platforms.
• Lead migration and modernization efforts for legacy applications
• Owning Migration roadmaps, R&D of new solutions and devising of a roll out plan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including product roadmaps, system configurations, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Optimize Platforms and systems and processes for performance, reliability, and scalability, both for batch and real time patterns.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Kafka, Hadoop Observability, SAS technologies, cloud platforms, DevOps practices, modern data platforms, and Python.
• Overall responsibility for planning and budget
• Responsible for Service Management with objectives of reducing MTTR and MTTD

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Platform Specialist or similar role, with a focus on architecture, installation, migration, and modernization.
• Strong experience in SAS, Hadoop, Cloud and Kafka
• Strong expertise in SAS technologies, including SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Grid.
• Experience in designing and implementing solutions in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in Open Source tools and technologies and big data platforms.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure management.
• Hands on experience of modern data platforms, such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and data lakes.
• Experience in programming skills in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in related technologies and relevant cloud platforms are highly desirable.
