The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP solutions tailored for retail businesses, including SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository), SAP S/4HANA for Retail, and other relevant SAP Retail modules. This role requires expertise in implementing and supporting retail-specific processes such as merchandise management, pricing, inventory management, and omnichannel integration. Fluency in Japanese is essential for communicating with Japanese-speaking clients and teams, ensuring a successful implementation and support of SAP solutions in the retail domain.Key Responsibilities:SAP Retail Module Implementation & Support:

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Retail solutions, including SAP S/4HANA for Retail, SAP CAR, and SAP Retail Pricing.
  • Support and configure retail-specific processes like merchandise management, inventory management, retail pricing, promotions, and store operations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand retail business processes and translate them into SAP solutions.
Client Communication & Documentation (Japanese):
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Japanese-speaking clients, understanding their retail business needs and offering customized SAP solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with Japanese clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment between business requirements and SAP solutions.
  • Prepare project documentation, user manuals, and training materials in Japanese, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with SAP MM, SAP FICO, SAP SD, and SAP WM teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP Retail solutions and other SAP modules.
  • Coordinate with business teams and IT to optimize the end-to-end retail supply chain, from procurement to point of sale (POS) and customer experience.
  • Support the integration of SAP Retail with external systems such as point-of-sale (POS) systems, eCommerce platforms, and third-party logistics providers.
System Configuration & Customization:
  • Configure and customize SAP Retail solutions to meet the specific needs of retail businesses, including inventory management, pricing, promotions, and demand forecasting.
  • Ensure that retail-specific functionalities such as store replenishment, seasonal assortment planning, and omni-channel operations are fully supported within the SAP system.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
  • Troubleshoot SAP Retail system issues and provide timely solutions to minimize disruptions in retail operations.
  • Provide post-implementation support to resolve any system-related issues, ensuring continuous system performance and stability.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Coordinate system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that SAP Retail configurations meet business requirements and function correctly.
  • Work with Japanese clients to facilitate and validate testing scenarios, ensuring all business processes are covered and accurately reflected in the SAP system.
Training & Knowledge Transfer:
  • Conduct end-user training sessions in Japanese to empower clients to use SAP Retail functionalities effectively.
  • Create training materials, guides, and job aids in Japanese for end-users to support a smooth transition to SAP Retail systems.
  • Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to clients on new features, updates, and best practices related to SAP Retail.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and system improvements in the SAP Retail landscape.
  • Stay up to date with SAP's latest retail innovations and industry trends, proposing enhancements to improve client operations and performance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for business processes, leveraging SAP Retail capabilities to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in SAP Retail, including experience in SAP S/4HANA for Retail, SAP CAR, SAP Retail Pricing, and other related SAP modules.
  • Strong understanding of retail business processes such as merchandise management, pricing, inventory, promotions, and omni-channel retail.
  • Prior experience working with Japanese clients or within a Japanese-speaking environment is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Retail solutions and integration with other SAP modules (SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FICO).
  • Hands-on experience with retail-specific functionalities such as POS integration, merchandise planning, promotions, and retail analytics.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce integration, customer experience solutions, and mobile applications in the retail domain is a plus.
Language Proficiency:
  • Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) is essential for communicating with Japanese-speaking clients and teams, including preparing documentation and conducting training in Japanese.
  • Proficiency in English is required for collaboration with global teams and documentation.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working in multicultural teams.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • SAP certification in Retail or S/4HANA for Retail is a plus.
Additional Information:
  • Ability to travel to Japan or work remotely with Japanese teams.
  • Familiarity with Japanese business culture, retail operations, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Experience working in retail sectors such as fashion, electronics, or consumer goods is advantageous.
