What you will be doing

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Designs, implements, unit tests, documents and deploys applications and APIs based on functional requirements
• Designs and develops database applications using SQL Server Integration Services, TSQL and Stored Procedures
• Consults with the business to determine logical design for new business solutions according to existing data architecture
• Performs code reviews, analyze execution plans, and re-factor inefficient code
• Provides technical support & guidance to Software Engineers I/II in development of desired software/applications
• Follows data standards, resolves data issues, completes unit testing and completes system documentation for ETL processes
• Assists Managers with project development, including documentation of features, recording of progress, and creation of the testing plan
• Collaborates with business analysts, source system experts, and other team members to determine data extraction and transformation requirements
• Collaborates with IT operations and testing organizations to ensure timely releases of projects and database environments are sustainable
• Supports IT staff and business users in the development, usage and troubleshooting of database-driven applications
• Creates detailed designs, performs analyses, creates prototypes, and documents completed design
• Acts as a senior member of the team; represents the organization on project teams and may perform technical project leadership roles while fostering teamwork and collaboration within and across work groups
• Intermediates knowledge on client requests, features, best practices, project scopes, and budgets
• Contributes to the growth of the company by advancing personal skills, working with the development team to improve the codebase, and seeking opportunities to improve the company\xe2\x80\x99s tools and processes
• Designs, develops, and automates scalable data engineering solutions by leveraging cloud infrastructure
• Extends or migrate existing data pipelines to new cloud environment
• Crafts data models of program processes and data entities and develops technical design & documentation of solutions
• Participates in optimization of data asset performance
• Transfers knowledge of data access/consumption mechanisms to business stakeholders, data visualization specialists and/or data scientists
• Develops solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the Manager, Enterprise Application Integration, and with a detailed understanding of SAP PI technical architecture and infrastructure, this position is responsible for design, development, configuration, and support of the SAP Netweaver PI components and interfaces within SAP modules and with non-SAP systems. Provides input to integration test cases and through testing, identifies and resolves technical issues. In conjunction with system integrator resources provides daily support for the SAP PI components. This individual interfaces with SAP resources, system integrator resources, and AmerisourceBergen staff to ensure full understanding of SAP integration issues and support for proposed solutions.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate should have a B.S. degree in Computer Science, Business or related field. This position requires 5+ years experience in design, development and support of SAP NetWeaver PI components and interfaces, including ABAP and Java development. Application support experience with WebSphere MQ, while not a requirement, is considered a plus.

What your background should look like
Experience & Educational Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in design, development and support of SAP NetWeaver PI components and interfaces, including ABAP and Java development.
• Advanced software development and architectural skills with excellent knowledge of distributed computing.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and release quality products on time in an emerging technology environment.
• Experience with large scale SAP implementation projects.
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP PI/PO 7.x, SAP ABAP, and Java. Working knowledge of PI message mapping techniques.
• Working knowledge of FILE, JMS, JDBC, MAIL, RFC, SOAP adapters and how to setup for use, including implementing SSL on both the ABAP and JAVA stacks (require knowledge of mutual SSL).
• Experience building custom PI/PO adapter modules. Ability to monitor PI/PO for errors - alert configuration and monitoring.
• Requires knowledge on PI/PO troubleshooting and the tools used for troubleshooting, as well as troubleshooting ABAP and J2EE stacks in general. Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge in Configuring APIs, proxy endpoints, API portals and API analytics.
• Writing and utilizing APIs / Action Layer / MVC.
• Strong knowledge in REST API development, Web service development and RAML design, connectors, and Exception Handling.
• Minimum 4 years of proven experience with SAP Process Integration.
• How to process large messages, as well as a large number of messages concurrently.
• Working knowledge of PI/PO/CPI/APIM caches and transports.
• Working knowledge of the PI/PO Advanced Adapter Engine.
• Knowledge of BPE (Business Process Engine).
• Ability to establish and maintain a high-level of customer trust and confidence.
• CPI/APIM knowledge is a must
• Working knowledge with CI/CD
• Working Knowledge with tools like postman, SOAPUI and Oxygen-xml
• Working knowledge with CTS+

Experience & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience. 4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in software designing and development.
