- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or experience in related technical field
- Year of experience required- 8 - 10 years
- Prefer prior experience involving client/customer interaction or custom development.
- Data Modeling: Design and develop data models using SAP HANA modeling tools, such as SAP HANA Studio or SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA
- Create and maintain data models that are efficient, scalable, and optimized for performance
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and solution architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Analyze data sources and define data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources into the SAP HANA platform
- Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data quality and consistency
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues in SAP HANA data models
- Optimize queries, indexes, and data partitioning to improve system performance and enhance overall user experience
- Security and Authorization: Implement security measures and define user roles and privileges within SAP HANA
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality by setting up appropriate access controls and authorization mechanisms
- Testing and Validation: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to validate the accuracy and reliability of data models
- Identify and resolve any issues or defects that arise during testing
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including data models, data flow diagrams, and system specifications
- Provide training and support to end-users on SAP HANA modeling techniques and best practices
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, database administrators, and business analysts, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- A master's degree is a plus
- Strong experience in SAP HANA modeling, including the use of SAP HANA modeling tools (eg, SAP HANA Studio, SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA)
- Proficiency in data modeling techniques, such as star schema, snowflake schema, and multidimensional modeling
- In-depth knowledge of SAP HANA architecture, including columnar storage, in-memory computing, and data compression techniques
- Experience with SAP HANA data provisioning methods, such as SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), SAP Data Services, or SAP HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI)
- Familiarity with SAP HANA security concepts, user management, and role-based access controls
- Strong SQL scripting skills and expertise in optimizing database performance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
