Implementing programs and policies to achieve specific technical delivery goal Basis Working with peers and senior leadership tem to drive the SAP Basis compliance Directs the disaster recovery processes according to specifications agreed to by the customer for SAP systems. Manages Basis administrators on the performance, reliability and availability of the SAP systems in alignment with industry standards. Manages activities associated with SAP production control and coordination including planning, scheduling, input/output control, job setup, standards, etc. Evaluates EarlyWatch reports and recommends appropriate changes based upon those reports Evaluates trend analysis to detect long term performance problems and prevent performance degradation. Manage project planning and execution for major activities such as software upgrades, software configuration changes and hardware upgrade or replacement Escalates SAP problems utilizing OSS problem notification Evaluates EarlyWatch reports and recommends appropriate changes based upon those reports Expert advice to customer and third party vendors related to Basis administration Expert advice to customer and third parties related to Product Installation, Upgrade and troubleshooting. Works with third parties in order to solve technical issues, establishes and monitors escalation of problems. EWA report analysis and implementation of recommendations SAP basis consultant with 7+ years\' experience in basis administration (ABAP +JAVA) Good knowledge of SAP products with New Dimensional products exposure (XI/PI, EP, BW, SRM) Strong experience on SAP Product Installation, Upgrade and troubleshooting. Basis Support experience, new sap component installation Good working knowledge of DB2, Unix OS & oracle database. Application of Support Packages, Kernel Patches, OSS Notes Desirable experience of SAP Java stack administration Desirable experience in applying Support Packages Experience in applying SAP Notes Kernel Up gradation Installation of SAP license. Administration of OSS connection Opening and Closure. Configuration of the logon load balancing. Performing Database backups (offline, online) and monitoring the backup. Exposure to Debugging, ABAP dump analysis, System log, update errors etc. Exposure to Database administration of Oracle Server including database back-up scheduling (offline, online), maintaining table spaces, adding data files , maintaining archive logs and performing health checks. Experience in handling config tool, visual admin tool and UME Configuration of SSO. Java systems monitoring through NWA. Client/Transport system maintenance Client copy / System copy exposure Basic monitoring support for Interfacing - RFCs, ALE/IDOC, Batch job monitoring Background administration like scheduling background jobs and analysing jobs. Basis Troubleshooting & analytical skills Working experience on daily Incidents We expect you to have Candidate having 6 to 8 years of experience in SAP Basis Excellent analytical, communication skills to work in distributed environment Ability to learn customer business processes and guide, help others for solving any SAP BASIS administration and platform issues Customer contact for handling any SAP BASIS requirements, issues Ability to troubleshoot issues in time constrained environment and help customer and third parties.
