Role - SAP ABAP Consultant
Responsibilities • Facilitate the AMS Support of the SAP ABAP module.
• Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.
• Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy client's needs.
• Design, customize, configure and test ABAP solutions.
• Identify gaps, and issues and work around solutions.
• Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems.
• Handle changes or emergency transport as needed for high-priority issues.
• Document functional designs, test cases, and results.
• Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
• Provide consulting services on existing support projects.
• Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
• Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to junior team members.
• Ability to independently handle client communication / interaction (over Zoom/Teams calls and emails).
• Should be willing and flexible to work in JP, UK and US shift timings and in 24 x 5 rotational shifts as per shift roster.
Skills and Qualifications • Minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP AMS Support project or in SAP full cycle implementation project.
• Should know Core ABAP - Reports, ALV Interactive, BDC, BAPI, ALE, IDOC, Enhancements, User Exits, Smart-Forms and Scripts Designing, Good Debugging Skills, transform business function requirements into technical program specifications to code and do basic unit testing.
• Advanced ABAP - BTE, Adobe Forms, BADI, OOPS, Performance Tuning.
• Basic knowledge of the SAP FICO module is desirable.
• Should have worked on Support Incidents, Tickets and Change Requests.
• Strong Analytical Skills and ability to write Technical specifications.
• S4 HANA Exposure & knowledge of SQL, CDS Views
• Work experience in the SAP Support project would be desirable.
