SAP ABAP and BTP RAP



Job Role:



An SAP ABAP and BTP RAP (Business Technology Platform RESTful ABAP Programming Model) Support Consultant is a specialized professional responsible for providing support, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP ABAP and RAP solutions within the SAP BTP environment. This role involves working closely with various business units to ensure the efficient and effective use of SAP ABAP and RAP, addressing any issues, and implementing improvements to meet business requirements.



Key Responsibilities:



System Support and Maintenance:



1. Provide day-to-day support for SAP ABAP and RAP solutions.



2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP ABAP and RAP functionalities.3



3. Perform regular system health checks and maintenance activities to ensure system stability and performance.



Development and Customization:



1. Design, develop, and customize applications using SAP ABAP and RAP.



2. Implement enhancements and custom developments to meet specific business requirements.



3. Collaborate with functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.



User Assistance and Training:



1. Assist end-users with functional queries and issues related to SAP ABAP and RAP.



2. Conduct training sessions and workshops to share the objects and its functionalities within the team.



Business Process Analysis and Improvement:



1. Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.



2. Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP ABAP and RAP solutions.



3. Implement best practices and process optimizations to enhance business operations.



Project Participation:



1. Participate in SAP ABAP and RAP Support / Upgrade projects.



2. Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful delivery of SAP ABAP and RAP solutions.



3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP ABAP and RAP with other SAP modules and systems.



Compliance and Security:



1. Monitor and manage security aspects of applications, including data encryption and access controls.



2. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.



Monitoring and Reporting:



1. Develop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards to track the performance of ABAP and RAP applications.



2. Perform data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.



Continuous Improvement:



1. Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP and RAP features, functionalities, and industry trends.



2. Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.



3. Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.



Skills and Qualifications:



Technical Skills:



1. Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming and the RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).



2. Strong understanding of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and its integration capabilities.



3. Knowledge of modern development practices, including OData services, CDS views, and Fiori elements.



Analytical Skills:



1. Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into SAP ABAP and RAP solutions.



2. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.



Communication Skills:



1. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.



Project Management:



1. Experience in managing or participating in SAP development projects.



2. Strong organizational and time-management skills.



Experience:



1. Several years of experience working with SAP ABAP and RAP.



2. Experience in development projects involving SAP BTP.
