Profile Introduction:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales / Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and expand the market presence of our premium poultry brand. As a BDM, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with key clients, and developing sales strategies to increase market share. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, and a passion for the food or poultry industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• New Business Acquisition: Identify and prospect potential customers including wholesalers, retailers, foodservice companies, and distributors to increase brand presence and market share.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including large retail chains, food distributors, restaurants, and other customers in the food industry.
• Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to meet sales targets, drive revenue growth, and penetrate new markets.
• Product Promotion: Represent and promote the poultry brand by showcasing the unique selling points of our products, including quality, sustainability, and nutritional benefits, to potential clients.
• Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers. Close sales and ensure smooth transitions for order fulfillment.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Use this information to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Profile Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in business development or sales management, preferably in the food, agriculture, or poultry industry.
• Strong Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with large clients, distributors, and retailers.
• Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the poultry industry, including product types (e.g., fresh, frozen, organic), supply chain processes, and customer needs in the foodservice and retail sectors.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage, persuade, and build rapport with clients at all levels.
• Sales Skills: Strong selling skills with a focus on solution-based selling, relationship-building, and closing deals.
