JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Sales Manager, also known as a Sales Team Manager in the organization, is responsible for leading and overseeing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

Develop and execute the sales strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives.

Set sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team.

Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and market trends.

2. Team Leadership and Management:

Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.

Manage workload distribution and territory assignments.

3. Sales Process Management:

Implement and optimize the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals.

Monitor the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

Implement CRM tools and systems to streamline sales operations.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients.

Resolve customer complaints and address their needs in a timely manner.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

5. Sales Training and Development:

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team.

Stay updated on industry best practices and sales techniques.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

6. Sales Performance Analysis:

Analyze sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Develop and implement strategies to boost sales productivity and efficiency.

Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.

7. Budget Management:

Manage the sales budget, including expenses and resource allocation.

Ensure cost-effective sales operations while maximizing revenue.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with marketing, product development, placement officer and students relations to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

Provide input on product or service enhancements based on customer feedback.

9. Compliance and Ethics:

Ensure that the sales team operates in compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Stay informed about industry regulations and legal requirements.

Requirements:

• Seven or more years of managing sales within a corporate setting
• Proven success rate at levels above sales quota
• responsible for leading sales teams to reach sales targets.
• primarily tasked with hiring and training team members, setting quotas, evaluating and adjusting performance, and developing processes that drive sales.
• strong analytical skills
• excellent leadership abilities
• exceptional customer service skills.
