This position reports to

Sales Support Manager .- Configuration & Quotation

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation. The work model for the role is: #LI - onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation - Energy Division in India. You will be mainly accountable for: Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications. Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries. Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS). Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries. Manages the preparation of RFI (Request for Information), RFQ (Re-quest for quote), all technical (e.g. defining the most suitable tech-nology and product type(s)), financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis) and if necessary, project management (e.g. quantifies hours of engineering and commissioning) aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions. Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

Qualifications for the role

• You enjoy working with preparing bids/estimations in process automation, process safety, substation automation, PLCs, and in all markets.
• You have 5 to 7 years of experience in preparing bids/estimations in process automation.
• You are highly adept at customer specifications/requirements and applicable IEC or ISA standards.
• You are passionate about interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
• You have a diploma or engineering degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication.
• You are proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
