Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative with expertise in building materials, particularly steel products (e.g., steel bars, TMT bars, steel pipes, iron, alloy), electricals, and testing equipment. This role involves developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving sales, and promoting high-quality building materials and equipment to contractors, construction companies, and industrial clients. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of these products, market trends, and customer needs in the construction and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
• Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the construction, manufacturing, and industrial sectors for steel products (steel bars, TMT bars, steel pipes, alloy), electricals, and testing equipment.
• Generate leads through cold calls, referrals, networking, and attending industry events (e.g., trade shows, conferences).
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Cultivate and grow relationships with new and existing customers, including contractors, builders, architects, engineers, and procurement managers.
• Product Knowledge & Sales Expertise:
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's product portfolio, including steel materials (e.g., TMT bars, steel pipes, steel tubes, iron, alloy), electrical supplies, and testing products.
• Provide expert advice to customers on product selection, specifications, and applications based on project requirements.
• Assist customers in understanding product benefits, technical features, and compliance standards (e.g., ASTM, IS standards).
• Stay updated on new products, industry trends, and innovations in building materials and electrical solutions.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Address customer queries, provide technical support, and ensure timely resolution of any issues regarding product quality, delivery, or pricing.
• Work closely with the customer service and logistics teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and project updates, and ensure the successful delivery and performance of products.
• Sales Presentations & Negotiation:
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, showcasing the benefits and technical specifications of steel materials, electrical products, and testing solutions.
• Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and bids in response to customer requests.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with clients while adhering to company guidelines and ensuring profitability.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
• Continuously monitor the competitive landscape to identify trends, market opportunities, and emerging customer needs in the building materials, steel, and electrical product sectors.
• Report on competitor activity, customer feedback, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.
• Use market insights to adjust sales tactics, refine product offerings, and target the most profitable customer segments.
• Sales Reporting & Administration:
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using the company's CRM system.
• Track sales performance against goals and provide regular reports to the Sales Manager or senior management.
• Ensure that all sales-related paperwork, including contracts, orders, and customer correspondence, is completed and filed properly.
• Collaboration & Teamwork:
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product management, logistics, etc.) to align sales strategies and ensure product availability.
• Provide feedback to the product team on customer needs and preferences, helping to refine product offerings or develop new solutions.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
