We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Officer to join our team at [Company Name], a leading FMCG company. The ideal candidate will possess at least 6 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 1 year in a Sales Officer (SO) or Territory Sales Incharge (TSI) role. As a Sales Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and implementing strategic sales initiatives within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities :
• Sales & Distribution Management :
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
• Ensure the availability and visibility of products at key customer locations (retailers, distributors).
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach in the assigned area.
• Customer Relationship Management :
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
• Conduct regular visits to customers to address issues, understand their needs, and promote new products.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Market & Competitor Analysis :
• Monitor competitor activities and report on market trends.
• Suggest improvements in product offerings, pricing, and promotions based on market insights.
• Promotions & Merchandising :
• Implement and monitor promotional activities and product launches.
• Ensure effective merchandising and in-store displays in alignment with brand guidelines.
• Team Collaboration :
• Work closely with the marketing, logistics, and distribution teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Train and guide junior team members or distributors in territory sales strategies.
• Reporting :
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
• Track sales performance and suggest corrective actions when required.
Requirements :
• Experience : Minimum of 6 years of experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 1 year as a Sales Officer or Territory Sales Incharge.
• Skills :
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing distribution channels.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG products, market dynamics, and sales strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
• Education : A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields. MBA is a plus.
• Other Requirements :
• Must be willing to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
