• The sales manager solicits new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques . Other important duties include booking, selling, planning and coordinating all special social events while assuring the highest level of customer service.
• Responsible for all aspects of the event from conception, planning, inter-department communications for execution of the event and post event follow-up . Work in unison with Catering manager to ensure events are well organized and event contact is pleased with the operation.
• A director of catering or service manager is in charge of catering for events. Their duties are to train and supervise staff, book events, and work with the chef and client on menu preparation for both small and large groups .
