As a Sales Intern in the field, you will support the sales team in generating leads, building customer relationships, and gaining firsthand experience in field-based sales operations. You will assist in executing sales strategies, engage with customers directly, and help drive the business's growth through field sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Interaction:
Assist in reaching out to potential clients or customers through direct visits, calls, and presentations to introduce products/services and answer queries.
• Lead Generation:
Support the sales team in prospecting new leads in the assigned territory, using a variety of methods, including research, referrals, and cold calls.
• Product Demonstrations:
Provide product/service demonstrations in the field to prospective customers, highlighting key features and benefits to drive interest and sales.
• Market Research:
Conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to support the sales team's strategy and approach.
• Sales Reporting:
Maintain records of customer interactions, meetings, and sales activities. Report findings, challenges, and outcomes to the Sales Manager.
• Customer Relationship Management:
Assist in nurturing customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and resolving any concerns in the field.
• Collaboration:
Work closely with other sales and marketing team members to share insights and feedback to improve sales approaches and client satisfaction.
• Support at Sales Events:
Assist with field events like trade shows, expos, and other promotional activities.
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic sales environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel locally or regionally as required.
