Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team in the construction materials sector. This role will involve promoting and selling a variety of construction materials to contractors, builders, architects, and other stakeholders in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a strong understanding of construction materials, and a proven ability to drive sales and meet targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
• Identify and target potential clients within the construction industry, including contractors, builders, developers, and architects.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and market share for construction materials.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activity.
• Promote a wide range of construction materials, including but not limited to cement, steel, aggregates, insulation materials, and finishing products.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and presentations to clients.
• Close sales deals and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing.
• Client Support & Service:
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, complaints, and technical queries.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate materials for their specific construction projects.
• Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Sales Reporting & Target Achievement:
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales progress using CRM software.
• Provide regular updates to management on sales performance and forecasts.
• Market Intelligence:
• Stay updated on industry developments, product innovations, and changes in construction regulations.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company's products.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, and promotional activities.
Qualifications:
• Any Graduate.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in sales within the construction or building materials industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as required.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with project sales and working closely with architects or contractors.
• Technical understanding of construction materials and their applications.
• Existing relationships with key players in the construction industry.
