Job Title: Sales Executive (Building Materials)
Location: Kolkata (Field-based, frequent travel required)
Experience: Minimum 1 year in sales, preferably in building materials or construction industry

Reports to: Sales Manager:We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Executive to join our team in the building materials sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry, and will be responsible for driving sales in East India.Key Responsibilities:Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities in the building materials market across East India.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients (contractors, distributors, dealers, and retailers).
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the companyxe2x80x99s market share in the region.
Product Knowledge & Promotion:
  • Stay updated with the companyxe2x80x99s products, services, and market trends to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value to customers.
  • Promote and demonstrate the companyxe2x80x99s product offerings to clients in a professional manner.
Market Research:
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activity, and potential sales opportunities.
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements, market trends, and competitor strategies to the sales and marketing teams.
Customer Support and Service:
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide after-sales support, including product delivery, follow-up, and troubleshooting.
Travel and Territory Management:
  • Regularly travel across East India to meet clients, understand local market needs, and build relationships.
  • Plan and organize travel schedules to ensure effective coverage of assigned territories.
Sales Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
  • Submit regular sales reports, detailing progress, challenges, and opportunities in the region.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the building materials, construction, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the building materials market and its key players in East India is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer service.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within East India.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • A valid driverxe2x80x99s license and willingness to travel by road, train, or air as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate in any stream (preferably Engineering or Business-related fields).
  • Experience in dealing with building contractors, architects, and suppliers is highly desirable.
