Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development
Lead Generation: Identify and target potential customers in the construction industry, including general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
Client Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to acquire new customers and expand business opportunities within assigned territories.
Sales Presentations: Conduct sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the company's products, services, and value propositions.
Proposals and Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals/quotations to clients, addressing their specific needs and providing solutions. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions.
Closing Sales: Effectively close deals, ensuring the company's profitability while meeting client expectations.
2. Relationship Management
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
Customer Support: Act as the main point of contact for customers, responding promptly to inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
After-Sales Service: Follow up with clients after project completion to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for future sales.
3. Market Research and Competitor Analysis
Market Trends: Stay informed about trends and developments in the construction industry, including new products, technologies, and regulatory changes.
Competitor Monitoring: Analyze competitor offerings, pricing structures, and market positioning to identify opportunities for differentiation.
Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on their needs, budgets, and project timelines to ensure the most relevant opportunities are pursued.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams
Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and engineers to ensure smooth transitions from sales to project execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure the best possible solutions for customers and successful project delivery.
Feedback: Provide valuable feedback to the product and service teams based on customer insights and industry demands.
5. Sales Reporting and Forecasting
Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, tracking the status of leads, proposals, and sales opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including contact information, sales progress, and customer feedback, using the company's CRM system.
Forecasting: Provide regular sales forecasts and progress reports to management to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
6. Product Knowledge and Training
Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's products and services, including technical specifications, pricing, and application details.
Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date on new products, technologies, and industry best practices.
Industry Networking: Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to build relationships, stay informed, and increase brand awareness.
