Position Overview: The Sales Executive for Homeland Security will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities within the homeland security sector. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, understanding customer needs, and effectively positioning our products and services to address those needs. The Sales Executive will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets. The client engagement will essentially require past experience of dealing in the B2B segment especially with the Government and Corporates. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the homeland security sector. Identify key market segments, customer needs, and competitive landscape to tailor sales strategies accordingly. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads through various channels including cold calling, networking, referrals, and attending industry events. Proactively identify potential customers, qualify leads, and initiate contact to schedule meetings and presentations. Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments and consult with prospects to understand their challenges, objectives, and requirements. Articulate the value proposition of our solutions and tailor presentations to demonstrate how our products and services can address specific customer needs and deliver tangible benefits. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target organizations. Establish trust and credibility by demonstrating industry expertise, understanding of security challenges, and commitment to delivering value-added solutions. Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations in collaboration with internal teams to address customer requirements and showcase the features, benefits, and ROI of our solutions. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closure, including accurate forecasting, tracking of sales activities, and timely follow-up with prospects. Utilize CRM software to maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales performance metrics. Market Intelligence and Feedback: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and potential challenges. Provide input to product development, marketing strategies, and sales tactics based on market intelligence and customer insights. Customer Success and Retention: Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process and beyond. Ensure smooth handover to implementation and support teams, and facilitate ongoing communication to address customer needs, resolve issues, and drive customer satisfaction and retention. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the homeland security, defense, or technology sectors. Deep understanding of homeland security challenges, regulations, and industry dynamics. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and other sales productivity tools.
