Job Title: Sales Assistant

Reports to: Store Manager / Sales Manager
Job Summary:
The Sales Assistant provides excellent customer service and ensures a seamless shopping experience by assisting customers, answering queries, and helping them make informed purchasing decisions. The role involves maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, managing stock, and supporting the overall sales objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
• Greet and engage customers, offering assistance with product selection and providing accurate product information.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, and usage to help customers make informed buying decisions.
Sales Support:
• Assist in achieving store sales targets by recommending and upselling products based on customer needs.
• Process transactions through the cash register and handle payment (cash, card, digital payment methods) efficiently.
• Maintain awareness of promotions, discounts, and company policies to inform customers and drive sales.
Stock Management:
• Assist with restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is well-presented at all times.
• Help with inventory checks and maintain product knowledge by staying updated on new arrivals and current trends.
Store Maintenance:
• Ensure that the sales floor, fitting rooms, and displays are neat, clean, and visually appealing.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock or damaged products to the store manager.
Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store objectives.
• Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous retail or sales experience is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• A customer-oriented approach with a passion for providing excellent service.
• Basic knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
