We are seeking an Sales and Marketing Intern with in-depth knowledge of the gems and diamond jewelry sector . This role requires a seasoned professional to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives that drive business growth, particularly through online B2B platforms. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in generating leads, closing sales, and building lasting relationships with key business clients in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop & Implement Sales Strategies: Lead the design and execution of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aimed at acquiring and retaining B2B clients in the gems and diamond jewelry sector.
• Lead Generation via Online Platforms: Drive sales through online B2B platforms such as IndiaMART , Alibaba , and other similar platforms by generating high-quality leads, engaging potential clients, and converting inquiries into business opportunities.
• Target Market Analysis & Research: Utilize deep market knowledge to identify, research, and target high-potential customers in the B2B space within the jewelry industry. Conduct competitor analysis and track industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients. Ensure customer satisfaction through personalized service and by addressing their unique needs in the gems and diamond jewelry market.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to create tailored marketing materials, presentations, and proposals that align with client needs and industry standards.
• Monitor Sales Performance & Market Trends: Regularly monitor sales metrics and customer feedback. Provide actionable insights to leadership on emerging trends, client preferences, and competitor strategies to continuously improve sales processes.
• Achieve Sales & Revenue Targets: Take ownership of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving consistent revenue growth in line with company objectives.
Requirements:
• Industry Experience: Minimum knowledge in sales and marketing within the gems and diamond jewelry industry or a closely related field, specifically in B2B sales.
• B2B Platform Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with online B2B platforms such as IndiaMART , Alibaba , and similar platforms used for international and domestic sales in the jewelry sector.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with advanced negotiation skills and a proven ability to build relationships with senior-level decision-makers.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, meeting/exceeding sales targets, and managing key accounts in the jewelry or luxury goods industry.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market data, sales performance, and competitor activities to adjust strategies for maximum results. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming sales challenges.
• Leadership & Team Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams to align marketing and sales strategies. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members while also excelling in independent roles.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software , Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other sales-related tools. Familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi is essential, additional language skills (e.g., Gujarati) will be considered an advantage.
