Sales and Guest Booking Officer


Overview of the role



This role focuses on managing the entire booking process, from enquiry to confirmation, while driving revenue and promoting Calvert Exmoor to new and existing audiences. It involves providing exceptional customer service, collaborating with Marketing to refine campaigns, and ensuring a seamless booking journey with the Guest Services team.



Key duties include maximising sales, nurturing guest relationships for repeat business, maintaining market awareness, and managing all booking correspondence with professionalism and efficiency.


About you



To be considered for the position of Sales and Guest Booking Officer, you will need:


Essential:


• To be committed to providing outstanding standards of customer service and strive to exceed customer expectations
• Proven administration experience
• Experience of working within a sales environment
• Comfortable with working to Key Performance Indicators
• Experience of working to targets - individual, team and organisational
• Must be enthusiastic and motivated with the drive for success
• To have great attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer service and administrative skills
• Able to work under your own initiative and without supervision.
• A good level of numeracy and literacy
• Competent in using: Microsoft Office - including Word, Excel and Outlook (advanced level desirable)
• To enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
• To be punctual and adaptable
• To be over 18
• Your own means of transport due to our location
• To be a competent swimmer


Desirable:


• Experience within the education sector
• Travel sector experience
• Knowledge of different disabilities
• Knowledge of the Cinolla booking system


Requirements for the post:


• The successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully pass the following training:
+ Pool Responder
+ First Aid
+ Safeguarding
• Must be office-based, with some regional travel requirements
• Available to cover weekends/check-ins on a rota system

Situated at the edge of Wistlandpound Reservoir, among beautiful pine forests and rippling streams, our fully accessible centre offers high quality facilities and professionally adaptive accommodation, all nestled within the rolling hills of Devon's Exmoor National Park.

Job type: Full-time 37.5 hours per week


Hours: This role typically operates Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.



However, the successful candidate will also be required to work some weekends as part of a three-weekly rota.


Start date: Immediate start


Salary: 25,000pa


Location: This is an office based role including some regional travel
