Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Safety Training Officer to ensure workplace safety by designing, implementing, and evaluating safety training programs. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance, helping to prevent workplace injuries and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Deliver Training Programs:
• Design and conduct safety training sessions, including orientation programs for new employees and ongoing sessions for existing staff.
• Prepare training materials, presentations, and manuals tailored to the organization's safety needs.
• Monitor Compliance:
• Ensure all employees complete mandatory safety training as required by law and organizational policies.
• Conduct assessments to verify knowledge retention and compliance with safety protocols.
• Identify Training Needs:
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify gaps in safety practices.
• Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and develop training interventions.
• Maintain Records:
• Maintain detailed records of safety training sessions, attendance, and certifications.
• Generate reports on training effectiveness and compliance for internal and external audits.
• Promote Safety Culture:
• Act as a resource for employees and management on safety issues and best practices.
• Lead safety awareness campaigns and initiatives to foster a proactive approach to workplace safety.
• Stay Updated:
• Keep abreast of industry standards, regulations, and advancements in safety training techniques.
• Update training programs to reflect changes in legislation or company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Education, or a related field.
• Certification in safety training (e.g.,SLCP, FEM, HIGG AUDIT KNOWLEDGE or equivalent) preferred.
• Proven experience in safety training, workplace safety, or a related role.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
