Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with Compliance and Audits:
• Help conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
• Health and Safety Programs:
• Support the development and implementation of health and safety programs.
• Participate in the creation and delivery of safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Environmental Management:
• Assist in monitoring environmental programs, including waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency.
• Help track and report on environmental performance metrics.
• Incident Investigation:
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes.
• Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Project Support:
• Provide support for EHS projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the development and execution of sustainability initiatives.
• Communication:
• Promote EHS awareness across the organization.
• Help develop and distribute EHS communication materials.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience:
• Previous internship or work experience in EHS, particularly in the real estate or construction industry, is preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with EHS management software is a plus.
