Roles and Responsibilities:

• Advise Operations/Projects or other departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of safety incidents.
• Carry out detailed job safety analysis of jobs carried out at distribution sites.
• Check and evaluate the effectiveness of action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent safety incidents.
• Ensure the availability of good quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Carry out periodic safety inspections of various PPEs, tools & equipment.
• Carry out site safety inspections/ audits to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers.
• Render advice on measures to be adopted for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
• Report and investigate incidents of employees.
• Advise maintenance of such records as are necessary related to incidents and near-misses.
• Promote the setting up of safety committees at the site.
• Organize in association with the concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, themes, contests, and other activities; this will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure.
• Coordinate & conduct either independently or in collaboration with the training department, suitable training and educational programs for the prevention of personal injuries.
• Carry out practical safety training in Skill Development Centres/Practice Yards/Sites for Engineers, Supervisors, Linemen/Field Employees.
• Design Safety posters & conduct awareness programs either independently or in collaboration with external agencies for the prevention of public /animal accidents.
• Ensure all applicable legal & statutory requirements related to safety are complied with.
• Perform other relevant duties assigned by his immediate superior from time to time.

Required Qualification:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• PDIS Qualified
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Must have a valid Driving License
• Immediate joiners will be preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?180,000.00 - ?240,000.00 per year
