• •Proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in fire fighting or construction projects. •
• Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures specific to fire fighting and construction activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports and recommendations for prevention.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
• Maintain thorough documentation of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to fire safety and construction safety.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH) is often preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
