- Safety Officer

Job brief:

We are seeking a responsible Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. Your primary role will be advising on measures to minimize hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Vigilance in identifying violations is crucial. The ideal candidate is a dedicated individual who strictly adheres to OSH regulations. Your focus will be on preventive measures, requiring attentiveness and proactive thinking. Detail orientation is essential, especially during emergencies.

Responsibilities:

Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures

Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation

Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.

Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker's compensation claims

Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

Requirements and skills:

- Education: Diploma in Safety

- Proven experience as safety officer

- Experience: 2-3 years in safety management, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.

- Skills: Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, emergency response, and effective communication.

Additional Information:

- The role requires regular on-site presence at project locations or company facilities.

- Standard working hours 9;00 AM to 6:30 PM with potential for additional hours as needed.

Location : Surat, Gujarat (Local Preferable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?25,000.00 per month
