Safety Officer
Job Description
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees.
• Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventative measures.
• Maintain records of inspections, safety drills, and training sessions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all safety certifications and documentation are up to date.
• Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
• Monitor workplace compliance with health and safety regulations and address non-compliance issues promptly.
• Promote a culture of safety by leading initiatives, campaigns, and awareness programs.
