Job Description

The Civil Construction Safety Manager oversees the implementation of safety programs and ensures compliance with all safety regulations on construction sites. This role involves developing safety policies, conducting safety training, inspecting work areas, and investigating accidents to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Educate workers on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine causes.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure all safety documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure site compliance during inspections.
• Perform risk assessments for all construction activities.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Coordinate emergency drills and ensure all personnel are familiar with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
• Prepare regular safety reports for management review.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness among all team members.

• Experience:

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections and audits.
• Proficiency in safety management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
