Job Description

HSE SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT:

Developed and implemented a detailed HSE action plan, Risk Assessment, ERP, Incident Management, TMP Management, Auditing, Legal & statutory compliance, and Recordkeeping.

Formulate safety systems and procedures for the site.

SAFETY TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

Conduct HSSE induction, training as per plan, Fire Training, SSW, NM PI identification, and 'Tool Box Talks' on various subjects.

Emergency Incident drill &Fire Mock Drill.

AUDITS AND INSPECTION:

Conduct Fire & safety audits, EMS - ISO 14001 & OHSAS -45001 system weaknesses, non-compliance, and appropriate corrective actions.

Compliance with statutory rules and regulations.

Regularly inspect, maintain fire service equipment, and organize periodic inspections and maintenance of safety equipment.

Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Fire Extinguishers & First - Aid compliance.

Inspect lifting tools/ tackles, material handling plant & machinery.

SAFETY SYSTEM OPERATION AND ADMINISTRATION:

Organize Safety meetings, and coordinate safety activities with the client safety team.

Inspect Electrical & Mechanical equipment to ensure overall health, safety favourable environment.

Develop and issue safety norms, conduct accident/incident and near-miss investigations, identify non-conformity and their root causes & implement corrective actions.

Issue violation memos, safety awards, and other safety factors for each Departmental activity to avoid any minor or major accident.

Generate MIS reports.

Ensure PTW issued: Hot Work, Excavation, Height, Confined Space, Erection, Electrical Work, Night work & General work before the commencement of work.

Generate, issue, and control safety manual, standard procedures, work instructions, and related documentation.

Initiating & encouraging the workforce to take part in UAUC (unsafe act unsafe condition) to counter ZERO INJURY POLICY.

Attending daily safety walk-through with the contractor's team for FAR (Further Action Require).

Attending daily & weekly Safety meetings with contractors & project teams.

To provide assistance to all levels of management to implement accident prevention activities.

Highlighting unsafe acts & unsafe condition scenarios through weekly safety meeting forums.

To arrange and participate in periodic safety inspections of work areas.

Ensuring that all sites have valid statutory test certificates for all critical equipment and tools and be in good condition before use.

Identifying the EHS training needs of Sites Installation employees, supervisors & managers and deploying the training.

Have good knowledge of identifying and disposing of hazardous waste

• Preparing and controlling all documentation covering occupational health, safety & environment for project sites and in the office.

Education:

• Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety.
• NEBOSH certification will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• 8 to 10 Years of Experience as Safety Manager preferably in infrastructure Company or Construction Industry.
