Job Description

As a Safety Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, compliance with safety regulations, and the prevention of accidents in the workplace. You will conduct risk assessments, implement safety procedures, train personnel on safety practices, investigate incidents, and continuously improve safety standards across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze processes, equipment, and work conditions to determine risks to health and safety.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and prioritize actions based on identified risks.
• Develop and implement safety programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Design and enforce safety protocols for various operations and activities within the organization.
• Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
• Educate personnel on safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions.
• Identify root causes of incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommendations for management review.
• Identify deficiencies and hazards, and recommend corrective actions to improve safety performance.
• Monitor implementation of corrective measures and track safety improvements.
• Develop emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios (e.g., fire, chemical spills, natural disasters).
• Conduct drills and simulations to test emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
• Coordinate with emergency services and personnel during actual emergencies.
• Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate safety equipment, tools, and systems.
• Ensure that safety equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and available for use.
• Train employees on the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required.
• Communicate safety performance metrics and trends to management and stakeholders.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture and practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into business processes and projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a Safety Engineer or similar role in industrial or construction settings.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations (Job specific Method statement, Job specific HIRA, Emergency Plan, T.P.I of all lifting tools and shackles, OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software/tools.

Experience:- 2 to 3 Years

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
