Inviting applications for the role of MT-RTR
The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills to manage the transaction flow, and provide direction and oversee reporting functions to ensure timely closure of period ends. The incumbent will be responsible for daily supervision and productivity of the team, and manage and provide overall direction and guidance to deliver on operational goals within assigned area and ensure timely and accurate completion of work
Responsibilities
  • Ensure period end close activities are performed according to agreed close schedules and that accounting policies are in compliance with GAAP
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly Blackline reconciliations and Fluxes, ensure the delivery as per decided deadlines
  • Act as point of escalation to resolve accounting and reconciliations related issues in a timely manner and ensure all queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently
  • Review and analyse the teams output for appropriate accounting treatment, completeness and accuracy related to general accounting
  • Work closely with accounts payable and receivable departments to understand bank transactions and ensure they are processed and accounted for in appropriate categories to reduce open items
  • Promote continuous improvement through best practices, and recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies
  • Manage customer relations to ensure all disputes and inquiries are handled and resolved within the terms of the SLAs
  • Ensure for timely update of SOPs

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge & understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting, International Financial Reporting Standards with a minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role preferably in BPM / services organization
  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, or equivalent) or MBA Finance or M.com
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures
  • Proficient in English to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with leadership, key stakeholders, employees and clients in a professional manner
  • Proficiency in SAP (preferred), MS Excel and Word
  • Prior experience in managing teams in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Lean / Six sigma exposure, or equivalent, an asset
Ability to work in the pressure environment
