- Cleaning and servicing guest rooms: This includes making beds, changing linens and towels, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, emptying trash cans, and replenishing toiletries and other supplies.
- Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness: This involves following sanitation protocols and using cleaning products safely and effectively.
- Replenishing guest room amenities: This may include stocking mini-bars, replacing coffee and tea supplies, and ensuring toiletries are available.
- Responding to guest requests: This could involve anything from bringing extra towels to fixing minor maintenance issues.
- Reporting any maintenance problems like faulty lights or leaking faucets to the appropriate department.
- Working efficiently to clean a specific number of rooms within a designated timeframe.
- Ensuring the safety and security of guest rooms by following security protocols.
- High school diploma or GED preferred (some hotels may not require it).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent physical stamina as the job involves bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying cleaning supplies.
