We are a renowned engineering consulting firm, focused on delivering excellence in project execution through effective project and contracts management, quality assurance, document control, risk assessment, and project controlling. To ensure effective implementation of Risk management procedures, we are looking for a Risk Specialist experienced in risk analysis, risk management, data analysis or probabilistic modelling to evaluate the risks of specific designs, projects and situations. You will support project managers of projects anchored across COWI globally including India and lead risk management related activities. This position will report to the Head of Project Management Office in India.On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Be responsible for the effective implementation of the Risk Management Procedures of COWI across projects working closely with project managers.
  • Be responsible for management, oversight and assurance of the PM's implementation of COWI's Risk Management procedures.
  • Develop a significant awareness of programme level risks and deputising for the PM/ Risk Management Lead when required.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice Risk Management activities.
  • Act as an interface to provide risk management information to support other project controls processes such as: change management, schedule control, cost forecasting and budgeting.
  • Align risk management activities to support the commercial model and contract administration requirements.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and communicate results effectively to project managers

And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.You have a master's degree in engineering or a related domain, e.g. civil engineering, mechanical engineering, marine engineering, physics, mathematics, data science etc. with extensive knowledge in risk assessment with at least 8+ years of experience.Moreover, you have:
  • Extensive experience of working effectively at senior levels within projects supporting a variety of stakeholders
  • Recent experience in being able to manage the process for identifying risks (through facilitation of regular risk workshops), assess risks and implement appropriate risk responses, reviewing their overall effectiveness.
  • Practical experience in carrying out cost and schedule Monte Carlo simulation models with the use of analysis tools (e.g., Safran, Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk).
  • Experience in integrating risk with other project controls functions, such as planning and cost control, to ensure alignment in the reported position and baselines.
  • Experience with Risk Management Databases. LTC uses: Pallisade @Risk, Safran and Primavera Risk Analysis. (desirable - appropriate training will be provided). Value management and engineering methods i.e., six sigma (desirable).
