About the Team: The Oil and gas vertical includes payment of electricity, oil/petrol and gas bills. Predominantly dealing with Petrol and gas stations and other retail business, handling end to end sales and Operations


About the Role: As the Risk Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in owning and managing risk operations, fraud prevention, compliance, and merchant onboarding processes. You will be responsible for reducing fraud-to-sales ratio, increasing compliance sales percentage, ensuring compliance of devices, merchant onboarding compliance, and approval. Initially, this role will be an individual contributor position, with the potential to lead a team of two in the future.


Key Expectations/ Requirements:
1. Fraud Prevention and Reduction:
Develop and implement strategies to minimize fraud and reduce the fraud-to-sales (FPS) ratio.
Monitor and analyze transactional data to identify potential fraudulent activities and patterns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fraud prevention measures and enhance security protocols.


2. Compliance and Device Compliance:
Increase the percentage of sales in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance of devices used by the organization, including periodic audits and quality checks.
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.


3. Merchant Onboarding Compliance and Approval:
Establish and maintain a robust merchant onboarding process, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessments for prospective merchants.
Oversee the approval process for merchant onboarding, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies.


4. Operational Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks related to payments, transactions, and fraud prevention.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the organization\'s operations.
Monitor and report on key risk indicators, recommending proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.


Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
1. 7-10 years of experience in risk operations, compliance, fraud prevention, or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge of fraud prevention best practices and industry standards.
3. Familiarity with compliance regulations and requirements in the financial services industry.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Proven ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote work environment.
6. Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the potential to lead a team in the future.


Educational background: Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (MBA preferred).
