Our dedicated team understand the power of data, science, technology, process, and people to collaborate to solve business problems. They leverage data and analytics to formulate solutions and work with business stakeholders to develop sound proposals that promote sustainable and profitable business growth.This is a pivotal role directly contributing to improving ANZ Home Loans business financial health and stability. The role will be responsible for contributing to the management of ANZ\'s home loans credit risk frameworks and strategies.Your skillset and experience will enable you to provide thought leadership to deliver quality credit policy and strategy management. You will support influencing strategic direction by translating data into insights and practical business recommendations, communicating team objectives, and presenting data in digestible, logical, and compelling ways.Role Type: Full Time, Permanent
Role Location: Manyata Tech Park, BengaluruWhat a typical day might look like

  • Deliver on actionable/value-add insights and analyses in support of the decision automation and optimisation journey of Retail Credit Risk
  • Streamline credit risk strategy, policy, and process for ANZ\'s Retail Credit Portfolios
  • Deliver improved decision automation, low friction and fast outcomes for customers whilst managing ANZ risk appropriately.
  • Utilise analytical techniques, leveraging existing data and system infrastructure, to create more tailored decisions and offers that improve customer and business outcome.
  • End to end delivery of changes from ideation to rollout, coordinating with stakeholders across the business.

What will likely be in your toolkit?
  • At least seven years of relevant experience solving complex business problems that require strong judgment, commercial focus, and thought leadership, drawing on various techniques and prior experiences, extrapolating, exploring, and experimenting where new challenges are encountered.
  • Relevant prior work experience within industries including (but not limited to): banking and financial services (ideally in functional areas such as credit, risk, or product), professional, or consulting services, utilities, engineering, information/data providers (such as credit bureaux).
  • Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, AbInitio, etc.), coupled with strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to turn data into information and information into actionable business decision strategy. In addition, a demonstrable ability to design, enhance and work with reporting sources.
  • Assisted with the development and documentation of acquisition strategies, their alignment with operational process/strategy, business requirements, issues, and specific enhancement proposals. Having participated in projects to rationalise, simplify, and improve credit policy deployment, acquisition front end strategy, and process.
  • Solid stakeholder management experience to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key personnel throughout value-chain, understanding and responding to stakeholder needs.
  • A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and autonomy to navigate ambiguity and make decisions within a broadly defined direction and set boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to translate technical content into business insights, author business narratives and recommendations clearly and simply.
  • An effective coach who is sought out for their knowledge and experience when troubleshooting and guidance is needed.
