Our vision for Kindle is to offer every book, ever written, in any language, all-available within 60 seconds.The Amazon Kindle team is seeking a Risk Management Specialist for our Kindle Books Self Publishing Operation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on highly visible projects and be part of history in the making!The Risk Management Specialist will:\xc2\xb7 Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and expedient resolutions for critical issues\xc2\xb7 Leverage technology and innovation to bring continuous improvement to the operational processes\xc2\xb7 Work effectively in a cross-functional environment with legal, technical, and product management teams\xc2\xb7 Evaluate copyright and appropriateness for content submitted through Amazon.com\'s Kindle Direct Publishing\xc2\xb7 Effectively prioritize work time to ensure productivity and fulfill team standards for time spent in order to consistently achieve service levels\xc2\xb7 Candidates must be willing to view and evaluate content that may be considered religiously sensitive, politically extreme or otherwise offensive. Conduct weekly 1:1\'s, Quality Checks, Audits, Coaching and Development. Assists team with performance improvement efforts and drives team performance. Create, redefine and approve Standard Operational Procedures (SOP). Serve as a role model by displaying judgment, a positive work ethic, interpersonal skills, adherence to company policies and a commitment to customer service.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSEnglish written and verbal communication . A passion for reading. . 3+ years of experience with MS Excel \xc2\xb7 A minimum of 2 years of process experience in publishing, customer service or similar production environment \xc2\xb7 Trend and data analysis skills (using excel and similar software) with the ability to notice patterns in data for the purpose of driving decision making \xc2\xb7 Experience in process improvement and troubleshooting \xc2\xb7 Experience in creating and modifying operational metrics \xc2\xb7 Project management skills \xc2\xb7 Must be able to think creatively and possess analytical and problem solving skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to drive and document new processes and simplify existing processes \xc2\xb7 Ability to drive root cause analysis and identify corrective actions . A minimum of one year experience in Content Risk Management team . Educational qualification of Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher. (Should have completed graduation and have documentary evidence of the same like Provisional Certificate and/or Degree Certificate) .PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPossess accountability for optimizing the self-publishing process to achieve operational goals \xc2\xb7 Exceptional level of organization and attention to detail \xc2\xb7 Experience using SQL \xc2\xb7 Comfortable handling a high volume of work on a daily basis \xc2\xb7 personal integrity \xc2\xb7 technical and analytical aptitude, including some knowledge of statistics \xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Lean and Six Sigma tools \xc2\xb7 Must be able to think creatively and possess analytical and problem solving skills \xc2\xb7 Experience in digital media and knowledge of the publishing industry is a plus \xc2\xb7 Fluency in a European language, Hindi, Arabic, or Japanese (written and verbal) a plus
