We are driven by over 1000 professionals in Technology, Research & Analysis and Marketing shared services.About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reviewer Engagement Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with authors, reviewers, and the broader academic community.Role Responsibilities1. Data management and analysis. Responsibilities include:Supporting journal EiCs, editorial boards and journal publishing colleagues in EBM recruitment by developing specific recommendations for reviewer support on their journal.Identifying potential reviewers in a data-driven way according to predefined criteria; this approach will incorporate the use of internal data sources (such as previous authors/reviewers for a journal) as well as targeted outreach into the wider community.Tracking utilisation of reviewers by journals, and applying interventions to ensure that trained reviewers are utilised by EBMs, and that reviewer demographics reflect the community they serve, in line with our commitment to diversity and inclusion.Maintaining proper quality assurance by coordinating processes and reporting on results.2. Customer engagement. Responsibilities include:Engaging external Editors-in-Chief, editorial boards and internal publisher teams with reviewer recruitment and utilisation, ensuring that goals, processes, and progress are clearly communicated to all parties.Engaging prospective reviewers so that they agree to work with Springer Nature journals in reviewer roles. Ensuring that they are provided with the necessary training and tools for the role, and that where appropriate they are partnered with particular journals or Editors.Working with members of the editorial engagement team to develop best practice resources for internal and external partners for reviewer boards.3. Community engagement. Responsibilities include:Engage with the wider research community to create opportunities for researchers to work with Springer Nature in a reviewer role. This will involve targeted outreach with a particular focus on early career researchers and researchers from communities that are under-represented on editorial boards.Engage researchers that hold a reviewer role maintaining regular communication: ensuring that reviewers are aware of, have access to and utilise training and benefits associated with the role.Encourage reviewers to join opportunities for networking by: joining Research Communities, taking part in live sessions, and receiving mentoring from the EBMs.4. Process improvement. Responsibilities include:Providing feedback to reporting and technology partners facilitate a scalable performance management process that our internal teams can use to monitor utilisation, agreement and completion rates for reviewers.Working with the Editorial Engagement Support team to support a standardised on boarding experience for new reviewers by providing feedback on processes.Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by working to propose ways of improving (or building upon) existing processes, and identifying new ways of supporting reviewer recruitment at scale.Educational Qualification: University degree in any discipline of Science.Years of Experience: 1+ yearPlace of Work: 1201/1301, Building No. 5 (R3), Gera Commerzone, Kharadi, Pune (Working in Hybrid Model)Desired:Strong organizational skills, with attention to detailAble to see tasks through to completion, working to (often competing) deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillActively involved in achieving team objectives.
