Key Responsibilities :

• Revenue Administration :
• Oversee the collection of land revenue, taxes, and other government dues in the taluk.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of land records and revenue documents in accordance with government rules and regulations.
• Supervise and manage revenue staff, ensuring proper performance of their duties.
• Monitor the timely payment of land-related taxes and other revenues.
• Land Records Management :
• Supervise the maintenance and updating of land records, including ownership, title, and tax records.
• Ensure the accuracy of land records and rectify discrepancies as per the legal procedures.
• Handle the process of land mutations, verification of land titles, and documentation for land transactions.
• Ensure that all land records are accessible and transparent to the public.
• Land Disputes and Grievances :
• Act as the primary authority in resolving land disputes and grievances related to land ownership, inheritance, and tenancy.
• Conduct hearings and investigations into land disputes and suggest appropriate resolutions.
• Provide mediation and arbitration in disputes between landowners, farmers, and other stakeholders.
• Law and Order Maintenance :
• Collaborate with police and local authorities to maintain law and order in the taluk, particularly concerning land-related issues such as encroachments, land grabbing, and agricultural disputes.
• Ensure the peaceful resolution of land conflicts, especially in cases involving agricultural land, compensation for land acquisition, and land reforms.
• Take appropriate action against illegal encroachments and unauthorized construction on government land.
• Government Scheme Implementation :
• Oversee the implementation of government schemes related to agriculture, land reforms, rural development, and welfare programs.
• Ensure the distribution of compensation, land titles, and benefits to eligible individuals under government welfare schemes (e.g., land distribution programs, PMAY, etc.).
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all government schemes in the taluk.
• Survey and Settlement of Land :
• Supervise the survey and settlement operations for demarcation and redistribution of land, if required.
• Facilitate the resolution of land boundaries and disputes regarding land surveys.
• Public Interaction and Communication :
• Serve as a point of contact for citizens, landowners, and farmers, addressing their concerns and issues related to land, revenue, and local administration.
• Conduct regular outreach programs and public awareness campaigns to inform the public about land laws, revenue collection, and available government schemes.
• Guide the public through land record verification, revenue payment processes, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
• Monitoring and Reporting :
• Prepare detailed reports on revenue collection, land disputes, legal cases, and other administrative matters for higher authorities.
• Monitor the performance of the revenue department and ensure adherence to timelines and targets set by the government.
• Ensure that accurate and timely reports are submitted to the district collector or higher authorities.
• Coordination with Other Departments :
• Work closely with various government departments such as Agriculture, Forests, Panchayats, and others for coordinated implementation of policies and schemes.
• Assist in the implementation of disaster relief measures, especially in the aftermath of natural calamities like floods, droughts, or cyclones, and ensure prompt land-related assistance.
• In-depth knowledge of land revenue laws, land reforms, and revenue administration systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex land disputes and legal issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with modern tools and technologies used in land record management (e.g., e-district systems, land digitization, etc.).
